Poured straight from the barrel at an uncompromising 114 proof, it delivers unctuous layers of butterscotch, antique oak, and punchy rye spice that modern releases struggle to rival. In 1987, American Brands (Jim Beam) acquired National Distillers, inheriting historic barrels distilled at the Old Grand-Dad plant (DSP-KY-14) in Frankfort, Kentucky.
