Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich layers of antique polished oak, dense toffee, and blood orange marmalade intermingle with classic vintage Turkey funk, cured tobacco leaves, and warm vanilla bean.

Palate: Heavy and remarkably viscous, coating the tongue in burnt demerara sugar, macerated dark cherries, cracked clove, aged leather, and bold, rustic rye spice.

Finish: Exceptionally long and resonant, fading slowly through notes of dark cocoa, roasted pecans, lingering drying oak tannins, and warming baking spices.

About the Distillery

Perched on a limestone bluff above the Kentucky River in Lawrenceburg, Wild Turkey has produced classic Kentucky straight bourbon since the mid-19th century. Guided for over six decades by legendary Master Distiller Jimmy Russell, the distillery is famous for its uncompromising commitment to low distillation and barrel entry proofs paired with heavy Char #4 'alligator' barrels, yielding exceptionally rich and full-flavored whiskey.
