Tasting Notes

Nose: A sophisticated and inviting bouquet, immediately announcing its age and quality. Layers of rich caramel and toasted vanilla bean intertwine with dried apricot and orange peel. Delicate floral notes emerge, reminiscent of rosewater and honeysuckle, underpinned by a subtle spice of cinnamon and nutmeg. Hints of leather and aged oak provide depth, promising a complex experience.

Palate: The entry is remarkably smooth and assertive, living up to its 103 proof. A wave of sweet toffee and dark chocolate envelops the palate, quickly followed by a vibrant burst of cherry and plum. The mid-palate introduces a delightful interplay of baking spices – clove, allspice, and a touch of black pepper – which are skillfully integrated, never overwhelming. The aged oak presence is elegant and balanced, providing structure without bitterness. A creamy texture coats the mouth, hinting at the high corn mash bill.

Finish: Long, warm, and exceptionally satisfying. The sweet and spicy notes linger beautifully, evolving into a pleasant dryness. Toasted oak and leather persist, accompanied by a faint echo of dark fruit and a whisper of tobacco. The higher proof ensures a lasting embrace, leaving a memorable impression of both power and refinement. No harsh ethanol notes, just a pure, lingering warmth.
